Launch of Europeana - the European digital library - crashed
Europeana - the European digital library, museum and archive has been intended to launch on November, 20th. Unfortunately, the server crashed, because of some 10 million hits per hour on Wednesday. Probably the re-launch will be by mid-December 2009.
The project promises to give access to 2 million digital objects, like paintings, books, films and archival material. For further information, please follow th link.
